Sorry about the really shameful plug, but I have to tell you about Zip My URL. It’s a little micro service thats very similar to TinyURL.com but with more style and is Web 2.0 enabled allowing you to publish your Zipped URL’s straight to Twitter & Del.icio.us. I developed it in my spare time and I am trying to drum up a little help testing it out.
Why is it different? you can:
- Add multiple URL’s to a single link, user can select one from the ‘zip’ or have one selected at random
- Password protect Zipped URL’s
- Publish your zipped URL’s directly to Twitter and Del.icio.us
- Get stats on your URL’s, see the number of hits they had
- Get thumbnail previews of zipped URL’s (via Websnapr)
It also has the regular goodies like previews and what not.
I know it’s a really cheeky plug but I would really appreciate any one who could help me really break it in. Please comment and tell me to stop polluting the blog with plugs.
